This polymer called bacterial poly3-hydroxybatiator (P3HB) can replace the petroleum plastics used in industrial construction. Earlier it was used only in the biomedical field. Scientists used a substance named sexnet to produce artificial P3 HB in low cost. This substance is made from the reaction of acetic acid and alcohol. P3 HBs made using the use of acetate and P3 HBs made by micro-organismi have the same characteristics. According to the researchers, the biggest feature of this artificial polymer is that it can be produced in large quantities at a lower price and faster.
